I have taken a bit of a break, a two-week break. Unfortunately, that means I have missed two weeks of Today I Learned.
Returning from my vacation, I must comment on the alarming death rates of covid in California. It seems that after a year of this pandemic, people are tired, rightfully so. Tired of the mask-wearing, the social distancing, the constant sanitization. I am equally tired. However, this does not mean I will stop trying. Just because you are tired does not mean you can stop following protocol. If anything, it means you should follow more strictly in order to ensure a speedier recovery.
It is a bit ridiculous that I feel the need to say this, but the pandemic is far from over. Wear your mask.
